Thank You!

I want to give a special shout out, “Thank You” to my Darling Husband! He’s helped me set up my blog which I couldn’t have done without his help. It’s so great to have my own personal “Tech-Support” at my beck and call. Ooops, I didn’t mean for it to come out that way. I meant to say…I am so blessed to have him in my life and for him to share his knowledge with me which I can never repay, one might say in fact, his help is Priceless! Thank You, Baby! Red heart

Zentangle

Wow, my second post. Who would have thought!

I wanted to chat about another subject that is near and dear to my heart – Zentangle! Maria and Rick came up with this awesome concept. If you like to doodle, check out their sites – http://www.zentangle.com/index.php and http://zentangle.blogspot.com/ . Here is an excerpt from their current newsletter.

Betweed

This is our new favorite tangle. After you try it, we think it will be yours, too.

Betweed is easy to create – just one stroke! It’s at home in narrow borders as well as large open areas and it plays well with other tangles.

We named it betweed because when we were developing it we posted something online with a typo - ”betweed” instead of “between.”

“That would make a good tangle name,” someone said, and they were right. Betweed is appropriate because it suggests intricate weavings and layerings.

Have fun with this one!

I Love My Kindle!

My husband bought me a First Generation Kindle when they became available. It was so amazing to me. I could download a book from Amazon and start reading within seconds. I didn’t have to wait to go to the store anymore and the prices for the books couldn’t be beat. Amazon’s customer service is the very best! As the e-book market grew, I watched from the sidelines as e-book readers flooded the market, each with it’s own abilities, depending on what your particular needs were. Then there was the Kindle 2. I liked that it could do more than my Kindle 1. My husband,in his reasonable voice, told me to just wait. You’re right, I said and kept reading my Kindle. Earlier this year, my husband told me that Amazon was releasing a new Kindle – the Kindle 3. He told me all he had heard about it. Oh I want one! Not too long after, we could pre-order the new Kindle and that’s exactly what we did. I couldn’t wait to get it. Finally the day arrived, it was here! My husband unwrapped it and I fell in love all over again. It was sleeker and lighter than my original Kindle. It could do things my first Kindle could only dream about. It is such an awesome experience having such a fine piece of technology in my hands that brings me such pleasure! I think it is the most used and loved gift that my husband has ever bought me and if not, it certainly is in the top 5! I read with it every day. If anyone is contemplating buying an e-book reader, I would very much recommend the Kindle 3 and that is my 2 and 1/2 cents for today. Thanks for reading!
